About this course
This course teaches adult CPR and AED use, with child and infant skills available depending on the option selected. It is built for responders without a clinical background who need to act confidently in the first minutes of an emergency.
Who should take this course
Workplace responders, coaches, teachers, security staff, fitness professionals, parents and community volunteers.
Learning objectives
- Recognise a cardiac arrest and activate emergency response
- Perform effective chest compressions and rescue breaths
- Use an AED safely, including pad placement
- Relieve choking in a responsive person
What to expect
Short instruction followed by repeated hands-on practice on manikins and with an AED trainer, guided by an instructor.
